Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit, Medina, & Stark Counties Joins ANIMO Health for Video Contest

The Summer Video Contest will run from Tuesday, July 7 until Sunday, July 26, 2020.

AKRON, OHIO, July 22, 2020—In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, children are more isolated and disconnected than ever before.

In an effort to provide kids with a connection and some summer fun, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit, Medina, & Stark Counties, Inc. has partnered with nonprofit ANIMO Health for their first-ever Summer Video Contest.

“We cannot wait to see the creativity of the video submissions and hope we can do this again next year!” said Karen Mitchell, Program Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit, Medina, & Stark Counties, Inc.

The Summer Video Contest will run from Tuesday, July 7 until Sunday, July 26, 2020. Littles matched through BBBS of Summit, Medina, & Stark Counties can submit a video up to two minutes in length in one of the following categories: sports, dance, or science.

“Connection is so important to mental health,” said Shanti Harkness, a member of ANIMO Health’s Board of Directors. “We’re excited to be working with BBBS to engage youth in activities that allow them to express themselves in a fun, learning environment while remaining connected with others.”
