My Montessori Academy Welcomes North Texas Families for a Morning of Interactive Activities, School Tours, and Montessori Exploration
Families in North Texas are invited to experience a morning of fun, learning, and community at My Montessori Academy’s Spring Fun Day & Open House, taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at their campus located at 2527 FM-691, Denison, TX.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to give parents and children an inside look at the Montessori learning environment while enjoying engaging activities and seasonal festivities.
The Spring Fun Day & Open House will feature a variety of interactive experiences for children, including a Spring Book Fair, bounce house, and chalk art with outdoor activities. The event aims to create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere where families can explore the school, meet educators, and learn more about Montessori education.
“Our goal is to provide a space where families can not only have fun but also truly understand the value of a Montessori education,” said Bonnie Pickel, owner of My Montessori Academy. “This event allows parents to see firsthand how we foster independence, creativity, and a love for learning in young children.”
My Montessori Academy serves children ages 18 months to 5 years old and is known for its structured yet nurturing environment. With over 30 years of combined teaching experience, the school emphasizes “education for life,” focusing on both academic and personal development.
Unlike traditional classrooms, Montessori education in Texoma encourages hands-on learning, self-directed activity, and collaborative play. During the open house, parents will have the opportunity to tour the classrooms, observe learning materials, and speak directly with experienced teachers about the curriculum and daily routines.
In addition to the activities, the Spring Book Fair will offer families the opportunity to purchase books while supporting the school. A portion of the proceeds will go back to the academy in the form of free books for classrooms, helping to further enrich the students’ learning experience.
