San Francisco Bay Area Maternity and Newborn Photographer to Compete in the 2024 International Photographic Competition
Marcela Limon of Lemonshoots is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.
A photograph created by Marcela Limon of Lemonshoots in Alameda has recently been accepted as a finalist in the Professional Photographers of America’s 2024 International Photographic Competition. Limon's work is one of the 32 images in the Maternity and Newborn category that will move on as a finalist in the upcoming photo competition at Imaging USA in Louisville, KY—January 28-30, 2024. Imaging USA is one of the largest annual conventions and expos for professional photographers.
A total of 497 finalist images across 16 image categories will be judged in live head-to-head rounds by a panel of eminent jurors from across the United States. With each round, images will be randomly placed into brackets and judges will eliminate the number of images by half. In the end, the sixteen category winning photographers will walk away with a trophy and a check for $1,000. The overall winner of the competition will receive the Grand Imaging Award and a check for $10,000. Limon's image (which can't be shared until after the competition) will be on display at the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition.
