Scrum Day 2023 Dates Announced, Registrations Open
It features Dave West, CEO of Scrum.Org, and some of the best Agile experts from around the world.
Scrumday.org has announced the dates of Scrum Day 2023. Registration is now open for the event to be held on September 14, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a networking and after-party at the Alliant Energy Center. The theme for this event is “Scrum Is a Team Sport.” Scrum Day includes workshops and informative talks about evidence-based management, product ownership, managing flow, and more. The event also has speed dating and networking opportunities and a book signing event.
One of the biggest mistakes organizations make is focusing on metrics rather than value. At the one-day Scrum training, participants will learn about practices and mindsets that keep the teams from delivering value to their customers. Some of the best Agile experts and thought leaders in Kanban will be flying to Madison. These delegates will provide valuable thoughts on the best ways to scale Agile across teams and how to empower them to deliver value. Scrum Day will include a keynote in the morning and afternoon, with five break-out rooms to choose from and focus areas for Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Networking Activities, Developers, and Leaders. Scrum Day participants are also eligible for 1 PDU for every one-hour speech for a total of 8 PDUs.
The one-day Scrum training event will help participants gain valuable connections by getting to know others in the local community and using Scrum to deliver value. The action-packed day will provide access to some of the leading trainers and industry experts in Wisconsin and targeted materials in a brief yet engaging format. Participants will also learn about Liberating Structures, practices that are designed to improve the team’s performance. Local leaders who have witnessed success with Scrum will also participate in enlightening sessions, sharing their insights and stories with fellow participants.
Scrum Day will be an inspiring event. Teams that perform at their full potential are not born overnight. Continuous training, commitment, and adaptability to make improvements wherever possible and whenever required are some of the qualities of successful teams. The local leaders and expert trainers present at the event will surely inspire participants to embark on a journey that will augment their teams’ performances. So why wait? Get tickets today for the much-awaited Scrum Day Conference in Madison.
As mentioned earlier, the event would consist of two keynotes, one each for the morning and afternoon sessions. The morning keynote will be presented by Keith McCandless, the co-creator of Liberating Structures. This session will be a game changer for participants to discover the power of group dynamics with the help of Liberating Structures, which will transform how managers collaborate and help their teams collaborate for increased efficiency. This is not just any typical keynote but an inspiring one that will revolutionize how people work and communicate. The afternoon session’s keynote will be delivered by none other than Dave West, CEO and Product Owner at Scrum.org. He will share key insights on a research study conducted by Scrum.org and McKinsey & Company and will share the learnings from the study in terms of hiring, selecting, and coaching candidates for agility and the ideal characteristics to look out for in those people.
